Is Eger worth visiting?

Is Eger safe for women?

I studied here for 4 years. I don't remember anything tragic. But I heard someone got robbed or kidnapped I also heard that some kids were abused in my school. As a tourist I don't know. I think there are a lot of people in the touristic areas, never heard anything bad happened to a tourist here.
