Is Kotka worth visiting?

Solo travel

I have lived in Kotka for one year as an exchange. It a small but really cute city. All the people I have met have been really kind and for women it is quite save to go there. As all the places in Finland it's not cheap. There is much nature to go for long walks and hikes. The city is next to the sea and there are quite many places to go swimming. As tourists there are not so many attractions because the city is not so big but places I recommend are the light tower, langinkoski, santalahti, the Fridas second hand shop, and the cafe tulikukko.
