Went during the overthrow of the Muslim Brotherhood (unsure if it was 12’ or 13’) nonetheless I was not a fan. I am tan Latina and I found myself feeling unwelcomed in many circumstances. I recall my white roommate encouraging me to approach the natives while I was out and about on my own. I did just that and was met with many unkind faces. There were so many instances where the natives were simply awful i.e. unkind. I am not familiar with the climate of today — i.e. whether they continue to be close-minded, ignorant, colorist, and racist as POCs (which baffles me). But I have always empathized to many of my Arabic language exchange partners that I would not return.
Posted: April 1, 2024The city of Alexandria was a very beautiful city with a lot of fun, excitement, and many special places to visit and enjoy the beach, especially at night. It is a very charming city, as well as the people in it.
Posted: January 9, 2024In Alexandria, you should definitely visit the Alexandria Library, the Qaitbay Citadel, the Royal Jewelry Museum, the Greco-Roman Museum, and the Corniche promenade. Alexandria is known for its villas and cafes, as well as fresh seafood and Mediterranean atmosphere. Cafe Trianon is a place with excellent food and the atmosphere is incredible. Spend some time in Alexandria if you are looking for rest. There are fewer tourists here than in Luxor, Aswan, or Cairo. Learn some Arabic during your stay, even though some people speak English, it is less common than in Upper Egypt and Cairo.

Alexandria is a crowded city, but people are helpful and any one can show the road if you are lost they can offer you help. Make sure also to take care generally like any place in the world better to be in public places and not to go somewhere when it's very late at night, being by the sea is the most you can feel safe and fell the beauty of the city

Hello! my name is Omnia I'm a fun-loving person who enjoys life, positive energy, and new experiences. I have a passion for languages—I want to improve my English speaking skills to sound more like a native speaker, and I'm currently learning Japanese. I also love traveling, and if I ever get the chance, Madrid is my first stop—but I dream of exploring the world!

Hi. I’m Rabab. Currently located in Alexandria, Egypt. Happy to connect with people here, as I’m an outgoing person, but I also hate busy places. I do some visual art stuff, so I’d love to connect with artists too :) I’m currently learning German, B1 now.
