Ismailia is generally safe for solo female travelers. The locals are often very welcoming, and law enforcement takes foreigner safety seriously. However, as with all travel, precautions like avoiding unlit and remote areas, especially at night, should still be taken. As a woman, it may be prudent to respect local customs by dressing modestly.
