Loved the people—so kind—and the culture. The prices are a little touristy. I tried diving in the sea; it was an amazing experience. However, the changing area was not clean enough. You can wear what you want and enjoy the restaurants and cafes by the sea.
Posted: December 22, 2024I did feel very safe in the hub locals are friendly and willing to help. I really recommend doing yoga at the beach. Also renting a bike and going to the near beaches having fun. There is a lot of cheap Airbnb's and it's really nice.

Egyptian restaurants there are for the win. There are a couple of other chinese/russian and italian restaurants but Egyptian ones are by far the best there.

I lovely place with a lot of activities. You can go diving, kite surfing, do a lot of yoga and swim in the beautiful sea. The town is very safe and it's easy to connect with a lot of digital nomad. It's not expensive as well.
Posted: July 2, 2024Experienced: February, 2024It was really safe, everyone is there to chill and have fun. It's a really simple and down to earth place. The sea is really nice and the best thing there is to go camping or watch the sunrise. Going on group trips is really fun too.
Posted: April 19, 2024I went to dahab with my friends... We decided to take a trip for girls only... From my experience, it was one of the most beautiful trips. We got to know many people and became friendswith . For me, I think that Dahab is one of the best tourist places for foreigners in Egypt, and the food, atmosphere, and people are wonderful, and there is a group We got to know them, they guided us, they helped us, and even when our money ran out, they allowed us to stay in their house I went to other places in egypt but dahab for me is the best
Posted: February 14, 2024Experienced: August, 2023I loved Dahab. It is definitely safe to travel alone as a female. Many great hotels and hostels, including great food. It is a great combination between a small town and a beach village. A great mix of cool local people, families, expats and tourists.

Dahab is a jewel in the desert of South Sinai. Coral reef follows the coastline and the marine life is breath taking. Every day different types of workshops, yoga, arts, music. Lots of people around the world has created a community feeling to the place. Cheap and also safe, even as a solo traveller.

Amazing place, a mix of local Bedouin people, mainland Egyptian workers searching for the beach life, ‘hippie’ expats and tourists. The rumours are true, we intended to stay for a few days but extended our stay for almost a month. Stay in Assalah neighbourhood to get a glimpse of the real life away from the tourist crowds. Enjoy ridiculously cheap and delicious falafel and other amazing options. Spend your days snorkelling, scuba and free diving, kite and wind surfing, rock climbing and bouldering, cycling and running, hike in the surrounding wadis or simply relaxing on the stunning beaches where coral reefs reach the shoreline. In some ways it still retains its local traditions however it is extremely westernised in other ways, so you can pretty much wear what you like there without unwanted attention you would receive in Cairo etc. Webus or gobus from Cairo, Sharm etc. We arrived from Taba at the Israeli border, and took the local East Delta bus directly to Dahab. Local taxis are also relatively cheap, and don’t hesitate to rent a bike - despite first glances, it is an extremely bike friendly town, as cyclists dominate the streets.

Dahab is super safe because its such a diverse town. There are locals from all over the world and travelers visit all the time for various sports and interests. It is well secured due to its location and the people there are peaceful

I’m a curious soul who thrives on creativity and adventure. I love the balance of being outdoors, exploring the world, and finding peace in cozy moments at home. Designing spaces and crafting ideas is my passion, while teaching little ones fills my heart with purpose. I call Dahab my home, but I have a special place in Cairo too.
