The locals tend to be genuinely helpful and respectful, there's a low rate of serious crime, and it's common to see other solo female tourists as well. Loved the people—so kind—and the culture. The prices are a little touristy. I tried diving in the sea; it was an amazing experience. However, the changing area was not clean enough. You can wear what you want and enjoy the restaurants and cafes by the sea.

Solo travel

Yes, absolutely safe throughout all day and night. You can go out anytime with 0 worries anything bad will happen to you. Egyptian restaurants there are for the win. There are a couple of other chinese/russian and italian restaurants but Egyptian ones are by far the best there.

I lovely place with a lot of activities. You can go diving, kite surfing, do a lot of yoga and swim in the beautiful sea. The town is very safe and it's easy to connect with a lot of digital nomad. It's not expensive as well.

Group travel

It was really safe, everyone is there to chill and have fun. It's a really simple and down to earth place. The sea is really nice and the best thing there is to go camping or watch the sunrise. Going on group trips is really fun too.

It's a safe town but I'm not one to go out much at night so I can't judge the night, I think everyone should be responsible for their own safety .The important thing is to wear clothes that cover your body.

Dahab is a very safe city considering it is a travelling destination for locals and foreigners. The police make sure the place is safe for everyone. The only relatively worrying thing in the city are bedouin kids. They are trouble makers but definitely not dangerous.

It’s very safe in dahab, if you dropped or forget something in dahab groups at facebook will see ppl searching about that thing, no crime happened here before also the police is everywhere, best place for girls all over egypt in my opinion and depending on my experience.

I often leave the door of my house open and people leave the bikes around. Worse case a child may borrow it but it will also bring it back. There are cameras everywhere and foreigners safety is taken very seriously. It can happen that a guy tells you a word or two in the streets or looks at you in unpleasant, way. But it's rare and nothing more than that really happens. In general people here are used to foreigners and respect different cultures.
