I have never had any issues or reasons to be scared. The only issue is stealing but if you are careful with your things it should be fine. Bicycle theft is kind of famous in Osijek so lock your bicycles!

Osijek is a very safe town, when I go out in the streets during daytime, I don’t feel a bit scared, I am also not scared when I go out to the club, or go home in the night, or even in the sunrise. The buildings are really safe, and the residents never share safety numbers to anyone, even friends. The apartments and hotels, as I heard from people coming here, are also a safe place. As a student I feel safe leaving my dorm alone, even at night. People are normal here, everyone minds their buisness so there is not much to worry about. Unless you intentionaly provoke someone I think you are safe 100%. :)
