Solo travel

My trip to Rijeka was quite fun - I ate some excellent seafood, wandered around the city, and then spent the afternoon reading at the beach with some wine. I felt quite safe, even during my walk in the late evening. It was a very fun experience, however after two days there was not that much for me to do. I would recommend for a short getaway for a solo trip!

Solo travel

I stayed at the Kosy hostel in Rijeka. It was a peaceful hostel with a nice atmosphere. The city of Rijeka was also quiet, but not dead. Lots of cafes and restaurants. The Sablićevo beach was beautiful.

Is Rijeka safe for women?

I didn’t have any problems since I moved here, I’ve been living here for the past 4 years. Walking alone at any time of the day is very safe. You can ask locals for the help if you need, English is in most of the cases very well spoken.

Rijeka is very safe city, from my personal opinion and experience you should not worry about anything. You can walk freely around, no problems with taxi drivers. I would say that everyone is nice and polite with foreigners.
