Is Yukon safe for solo female travelers?

Yukon is relatively safe for solo female travelers. The crime rates are moderately low, locals are friendly, and the prevalence of scenic nature trails and tourist attractions are well-maintained and generally safe. However, the region is known for its wilderness, so incidents related to wildlife are not uncommon. It's essential to stay aware of your surroundings, especially when hiking in less populated areas, and take necessary precautions to prevent encounters with wildlife. Additionally, ensure that someone is informed of your travel plans at any given time.

The Yukon has a relatively small population. Locals are friendly and during the day there’s always people around. As long as you stay in the popular areas and during the day it is a very safe place to be. The most crime we have is due to be not remembering to lock their vehicles or bikes.
