How safe is Timmins for women?

Overall the city is fairly safe, there has been an increase in crime recently, avoid walking around the downtown core at night. Public transit is safe but takes a long time to get around and they pass infrequently. Also we don't have uber but we have taxis.

About me

My name is Ines, and I’m passionate about traveling, exploring new cultures, and immersing myself in nature. Originally from Algeria, I moved to Canada in 2022 to pursue my studies in business administration. I’m currently based in Northern Ontario, where I balance work, school, and my love for outdoor adventures like camping and swimming in lakes. I’m always on the lookout for meaningful travel opportunities, especially fully funded or volunteer programs that allow me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds while giving back to communities. Learning languages is another big part of my life—I speak several languages
