Is Kingston safe for solo female travelers?

Kingston, is generally safe for solo female travelers. It is a small university city and people are friendly and welcoming. As with any city, it's important to stay vigilant, especially at night, and avoid isolated places. The crime rate is relatively low and public transportation is safe and reliable. Local authorities are also very helpful.

How safe is Kingston for solo female travelers?

How safe is Kingston for women?

Kingston has some homeless people, but they are generally in known areas like Belle Park and the downtown portion of the K&P trail, so avoid those areas after dark to avoid any mishaps. Crime may be a tad more frequently in the Division Street part of town. The city of kingston police does maintain a crime map, so I encourage you to check it out as well.

Kingston is generally safe. There has been some break ins around the University campus where people get robbed but that is not too common. I am not worried to walk alone at night, even close to downtown.
