Is Chicoutimi safe for solo female travelers?

Very safe, but there are some drug addicts that have mental problems in the center. They are rare but still present. It's just as in any other city, poverty is centered in some areas. But I'm not afraid to walk at night, as long as i avoid some places

Safe place, kind people but not that open minded. You go if you like a lot nature and outdoors activities. Old people as a population, a very calm city, not a lot to do but beautiful landscapes. Enjoy!
