After a break from travel I’m excited to dip a toe back in with solo travelling (for the first time) and meet new people to share experiences with! I’m single and child-free. When it comes to evening socialising I’m more low-key and enjoy catching up over dinner, drinks, the cinema and gigs rather than clubbing. Happy to meet up with people of any age, some of my closest friends are outside of my immediate bracket.

Loved seeing the old historic buildings and especially the buildings that surround the center. It does get a bit boring if you are staying there for more than a couple days. But it has great transport and feels very safe
Posted: May 30, 2024Experienced: March, 2023I went to Cambridge to study for a week. it was my first trip abroad and I was alone, as an anxious person I can say that Cambridge is safe, people are helpful and kind. it is a very popular place for tourists and students, full of parks and it's quite clean. it's easy to find your way around (except for the parks... they're all similar and I always got lost), I used the bus to move from one side of the city to the other, but it's also doable on foot, however the ticket didn't cost much. I was there to study in the morning, so I had breakfast and then went to class, during the afternoon I loved going to the bookshop (Waterstones) and ate at Byron's (the best burgers I've ever eaten). I often went to the park or visited nearby towns (for example, I saw Shakespeare's house). I had a budget of £100, and I came home with some left over. It's a truly beautiful place, I fell in love with it.

Cambridge is really close to Stansted airport, i just took a train to go there. It is a place full of history and you can feel the studious and chill atmosphere. Do not hesitate to do a river tour. You will see the back of the universities with some informations from your guide and it worth it.
Posted: May 13, 2024The university has a vibe of dignity. There was a former student sharing her studying experience and the history behind each of the school architecture, which was an unforgettable experience. I'm glad that I chose to go to Cambridge.
