About me

I enjoy the small things in life: sunrise, hot fresh coffee/tea, home cooked food, playing with animals, laughing with friends, making children smile.. I dabble in politics (Tory), volunteer with the homeless. I read the economist/financial times. I am catholic, tee-total and plant based. I enjoy ballroom and Scottish reeling. I have travelled to 80 countries so far.

Solo travel

I felt very safe in London. I traveled alone at 18 and stayed at The New Linden Hotel, which was central but not too busy. I used the underground by myself to get around and walked a lot. The city system was easy to understand, and I mainly stayed in tourist areas. I always wore my bag crossbody so nothing could be stolen. I was lucky with the weather (22°C and sunny), which made the trip even better. I really enjoyed the city and would love to return – though next time not alone!

Solo travel

I love London, and I’ve been there multiple times, both alone and with my family. I was 15 when I was in London alone for the first time. I stayed with some family, but I was mostly out alone. I feel safe walking around and haven’t had any uncomfortable experiences ‘yet’. I have mostly stayed around Pimlico, Knightsbridge or in Mayfair, love them all and feel safe. The people are relatively nice and open. The food is good and you can find all kind of foods and drinks, the prices are maybe a bit pricey though.
