My airbnb check in was not pleasant. Upon check in they said if I need AC I need to pay extra 300 per day. Total 900 for 3 days. Booking from mytrip website it was not mentioned. It was burning hot. Felt I got scammed. Back water cruise was a great experience. Love the food. They even have some good American food too. Wish I had more time to explore.

My experience in Kerala was absolutely eye-opening and inspiring. As a 23 year-old female traveler I was a bit nervous before my trip but I felt extremely safe!! The locals were some of the kindest, most welcoming welcoming people I’ve ever met. *Must-does:* 1. Watch a Kathalaki show - The traditional dance-drama is mesmerizing, and the performers’ talent is unforgettable 2. Explore the backwaters - Not only are they beautiful, but you’ll also see old Chinese fishing techniques that they still use today! Visiting the small fisher families’ islands was wonderful too. If you want recommendations on safe homestays, tea houses, trusted drivers, or hidden gems, feel free to reach out!!!! The region of Kerala is the land of color and art. The place where nature and community come together to create the most beautiful patterns you’ll ever see.
