Located amidst the magnificent mountain ranges of Kerala’s Western Ghats in India, Munnar is a tranquil hill station known for its verdant tea plantations, rich biodiversity, and picturesque natural beauty. Famous for its pleasant climate, Munnar is a popular destination among tourists, offering captivating views and a chance to explore the lush green landscapes, serene lakes, cascading waterfalls, dense forests, and rolling hills. It is home to the Eravikulam National Park, which houses the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, and the mesmerizing Attukal and Lakkam waterfalls. Munnar also boasts of its colonial architecture, spice gardens, and the Tea Museum that offers insight into the region's tea-making tradition, making it a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.

My family consists of 15 people, so I felt pretty safe travelling with them. And also fellow tourists had many women travellers so made me feel assured. Climate was good and didn’t experience any bad things. Safe place to stay and went to waterfalls and some jeep activities, it was fun and people were very hospitable.

Munnar is a great hill station, lush green and non commercial, authentic good, pure air. Beware of the spice gardens and the products they try to sell on account of authentic stuff. It's way too costly and not sure if it's authentic or not. Food might be average at hotels but good on the street. Overall people are good but stay away from people trying to get business out of travellers as usual.
