I felt safe in Australia You could easily do frist or be on your own. Alot travel in groups together so it can be lonely but you could probably join. In some places were alot of Germans and some a lot of French. Can be overwhelming

Cairns was great. Loads to see and do. Aquariums, zoos, butterfly sanctuary, rainforest, free outdoor pools. Loads of places to eat too. Definitely recommend, some of the locals can be intimidating but you move past it
