About me

Early 30’s & still love travel as much as I did in my 20’s. I’ve recently re-found surfing & love to be outdoors, explore, eat good food & discover hidden gems. I love community & connecting with others to make the experiences even more fun!

Is Gold Coast safe for female travelers?

Solo travel

I solo travelled to the Gold Coast alone for 10 months. It is a place I love so much and really enjoyed. I never felt unsafe there. Never had problems walking around alone at night, although it’s something I don’t recommend. People there are very friendly and easy to come in contact with. Going to the beach is a must! Burleigh beach, Tallebudgera Creek and Rainbow bay are my favorites! Watching the sunsets and sunrises while sitting at the beach is just incredible. For food I recommend Paddock’s bakery and Helen’s Heavenly Wholefoods cafe for the best açaí bowls! To get around buses work great, get a go kart as soon as you get there. Safe travels❤️!
