Is Rotorua safe for women?

Rotorua is a place where one neighbourhood can be so lovely and tight but but if you turn a corner you could suddenly be surrounded by gangs, police and drug/alcohol abuse. The public transport isn’t too unsafe however if you are disabled it is a vulnerable place to be with a presence of discrimination. I would not be comfortable walking around Rotorua after dark by myself.

About Me

I am an identical twin, both my twin and I are huge travel lovers and we each have our own personal favourites and dream places to visit! I am a disabled traveller, keen to find ways to see as much of the world as I can despite my disability! I am a duel citizen of New Zealand and Great Britain, but born and raised in NZ - maybe moving to the UK in the future (we’ll see).
