Generally New Plymouth is safe and you can expect to be able to walk around uninterrupted during the evening. The community are also very supportive and should you need help, those around you are likely to assist.
Posted: September 7, 2024Very safe, usual precautions should be taken like not walking alone at night, and being aware of your surroundings in general. I haven't experienced much night life here so cannot comment on that. People in general are friendly

New Plymouth is safe . Obviously you can’t predict everyone’s actions etc but on the most part, if you keep to yourself you will be fine 😊 Stick to the main city at night time. The coastal walkway is awesome
