Hamilton is generally a safe city. It’s fairly safe after dark when the city is busy in the pub/club/restaurant areas but once they quieten down/close I would be home as there can be an element of undesirables that hang about later. Don’t walk after dark by yourself, safe to walk with another or a group. My daughter and I often take a 30 minute evening stroll after dinner when it is dark and have never had any problem in our residential suburb. There are certain suburbs I wouldn’t walk in.

My name’s Hana, I’m Māori European. I work full time so am not always available to host or to show around but I will do what I can. I work in social services and enjoy helping people. Would love to meet wahine (woman) who have travel experience and would love to host back sometime. Looking for genuine friendly connections:)
