Delhi does not have a good reputation for being safe, especially for women. However, there are certain things that need to be done and you'll feel very safe. 1. book hotels in good areas. very often I've seen foreigners take hotels in shady areas where even the locals won't go. stick to south delhi for hotels. 2. travel in the metro in women's coach. it is one of the cleanest, well connected and safest mode of transport. 3. take all basic precautions that you would in any other city. 4. be assertive. say no to any unwanted attention. keep walking if strange people try to talk to you. 5. don't go out alone late at night. delhi is not the place for clubbing or night life as a solo woman. there are plenty of places in India towards the South where you can experience it better. in Delhi, try to explore the monuments, the amazing metro, and the food.
Posted: April 20, 2025Delhi is the Capital of India, it is protected with security cameras and the people are open minded and friendly, except the areas closer to villages are not advised to go there alone, It is still better if u bring a friend along with u always remember to not trust anyone, likewise it is safe 💛

Delhi’s public transport I.e metro is extremely safe at all times. I personally would not go out alone post 9PM. However , in a group it’s pretty safe. Delhi is a mixed group- people are extremity nice, some men are dangerous. That’s why this is a girls only app!!
Posted: March 18, 2025It’s not really a safe place. If we are talking about north Delhi, then it’s comparatively safer than the other places since it’s a student area. Like most places, for men it’s obviously more safe than it is for women. So if you are a woman planning to travel alone, I would suggest you contact a local and choose your captions wisely
Posted: March 15, 2025Delhi is not safe tbh. It has a high crime rate. If you are planning to visit it. Just be very careful and alert. Not everyone is unsafe but still be cautious. Don't talk to strangers too much and be very careful even in the day and try to avoid going at night even after 7 or 8 pm. If you have a delhi boyfriend then it might be okay but delhi is not even safe for boys. Don't use public transport which donot have crowd means if in a bus there are 2-3 people just don't go....just don't. While traveling please give your live location to your loved ones and any time if u r feeling unsafe or alone call emergency number 112 Women's helpline number 1091(delhi),181(all over india including delhi)

According to me there is crime murder rape everywhere what makes them less is the jurisdiction and sadly its not strong in delhi there is a long road to get justice especially in the matters of female safety

Delhi isn’t ideal for solo female travel—stick to a group or take the help of a lcoal. Dress modestly to blend in, stay alert, and research areas in advance. Central & South Delhi are safer; but avoid travelling alone at night.

I know Delhi doesn't have the reputation of being a safe city for women. I have been a resident for 10 years and I haven't faced too many problems - could be because I'm an introvert. I think there are some places and times which are more comfortable for women than others. Definitely some planning is required to know the correct places to visit, timings, mode of transport and places of stay. Which is unfortunate - but can be planned around. Don't let this stop you from exploring all that Delhi has to offer.

All of Delhi is not safe. But, most of it is. It is infamous for being unsafe, but I have lived here most of my life and I can assure you, it's not as bad as the media makes it out to be. There are areas that I would avoid at certain times, but I often take cabs all over Delhi, alone, even at 2 am if needed, and I have not had any bad experiences. Clothing wise, its slightly restrictive compared to the Western countries, but not too bad. Again, you need to know what place will have what attire acceptable. I highly recommend making an indian friend who's from Delhi to guide you.
Posted: January 26, 2025Areas like greater Kailash okhla and Nehru place are relatively safer. But seelampur have a few gang related activities. Since it is crowded here, during daytime,it is much safer, but need to be cautious at night
Posted: January 12, 2025I went many years back when I was in 11th grade and didn't feel very safe cause even when I was inside a car men were staring at me which made me feel uncomfortable even though I was with my parents
