Pune

Pune is a nice city. But in comparison to the major cities in india it is definitely safe. But like every other place in the world being cautious is always a plus. Situational awareness is a must. But I believe good people are everywhere so it is pretty safe.

Hyderabad

Fairly safe. Safer than north India. The people are very welcoming. I come from Kerala originally. Staying here for my studies. The 20-30 age men might stare and might ask you in rare situations to drop you off of their bikes. But just ignore and walk. If you avoid lonely places it's safe. Just for travelling it's very safe. The tourist places and shops, restaurants are safe. I would not prefer to go on a night walk alone.

Pune

Pune is overall safe but depends on the area you are at. Please carry pepper spray as your defence. And if you want to enjoy the night life of Pune city, go to “koregaon park”, “Balewadi high street”

Bangalore

From my experience I have never felt such worrisome experience. People are much safer compared to other cities. you even won't feel them staring at you..if they would it would be out of admiration not lust

Rishikesh

Very safe, friendly & touristic city. I can highly recommend. Food is great, so many yoga classes. It is more a place to chill than to party. A lot of ways for hiking and restaurants, which are vegan&vegetarian.

Mumbai

The main spots and busy areas of the city are fairly safe and one can commute at any point in time at night as transport is available. There are enough security cameras and well connected neighbourhoods to minimise any thefts

Chandigarh

It's better than other places in india. But still, it's important to take preventive measures. If you are planning to stay in a hotel, please DO NOT stay in a cheap hotel. 5 star hotels are the safest. If you are a female solo traveler, be accompanied by a trusted local.
