Most of the main banglore is quite safe and active at all times! Uber, Ola, Rapido, Namma Yatri are reliable private applications and are generally safe. Safest would be public buses - volvo or normal both , post midnight they rin a bit less frequently but are still active at major places! Police patrol is also pretty active, i generally dont visit remote places but quite safe to visit normal urban social areas like jaynagar to whitefield/hebbal, jp nagar
Posted: November 21, 2024Definitely not safe enough for a woman to travel alone, without understanding the nuances of navigating this country. I would highly recommend that you do a fair bit of research and preferably travel in a group or with a trusted local.
Posted: November 17, 2024Mumbai is very safe for travelling at night. It’s the most safest city in India. People are chill and very helpful. The city very welcoming and the nightlife rocks. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
Posted: October 17, 2024Kerala is a super safe state. I have felt safe in all the cities I have gone to. People are very friendly. Culturally very tolerant of multiple religions, races, gender etc. People will help you out if you ask for any support and they will guide you.
Posted: October 14, 2024Madurai is pretty safe. The people are friendly and would love to help foreigners in giving directions and whatnot. General cautions like walking alone at night in dark alleys must be avoided. The public transportation is safe. There are many pre booked taxi services available as well for sightseeing purpose.
Posted: October 14, 2024Chennai is safer than the Northern part. Avoid public transport after dark. Careful if you plan to go around alone in the night. Food can be challenging. Other than that. Safe . Always better to have known references for emergency

Chennai is safe in terms of crime, I have never faced any incidents of harassment, cat calling or inappropriate advances so far. Metro and local trains are a good way to transit and cab services like ola, Uber, fast-track are another option. Like any city it has its share of traffic, mostly during office hours. The climate is usually hot and humid. Having said that, I also believe being a woman everyone should always ensure some safety precautions.
Posted: October 2, 2024It is a safe city. Well, any place is as safe as your luck. If you are appropriately dressed and not in dangerous parts of the city at odd hours, you are safe anywhere. Bengaluru is a 24/7 working city with a lot of IT parks, so the areas around those are always bustling.
Posted: October 1, 2024Dehradun is comparatively a lot safer than a lot of places in India. I’ve lived here for 2 years now and I’ve traveled within the city alone a lot, even after dark. Whether by walking or by local transport, I have never been attacked or harassed although I have been catcalled quite a few times but nothing worse than that

Walk around and always carry a pepper spray. Always carry cash in case you're travelling via Auto rickshaw. Do not go out alone to dark places with no street light or go only with known group of friends

Trip with my sister to cherapunji. Booked a car via mutual contacts, will need to book someone from a reputable reviews for offbeat locations otherwise its going to just be a visit about normal trip. We did the trip around first week of October and it rained heavily during the same! Amazing place! Should really not choose a shoulder season due to super heavy rains otherwise we’d end up missing on amazing views due to mist n fogs
Posted: November 20, 2024A trip to India should be a travel plan in everyone's life. Recommend to visit the north , south, east n west of India at least 2 states from each side. Food recommendations: Biryani, meals, sea food, warm snacks, Indian sweets, butter chicken and breakfast options. India is a very cheap country to travel. It's better to stay always with homestays as they are cheaper and safer or better would be a good 3-4 star hotel. Getting around is better on the bus like public transportation or if you are traveling from one state to around or across India always better to opt for train services.

I'm a simple soul and love travelling. I run a small hostel here and do not mind hosting anyone. I want my place to be a safe place for women to come and feel at home as that's something I feel strongly about in the travelling community.
