Kerala is a super safe state. I have felt safe in all the cities I have gone to. People are very friendly. Culturally very tolerant of multiple religions, races, gender etc. People will help you out if you ask for any support and they will guide you.

Kerala is a nice place… people are extremely kind and courteous. However, night travel is not recommended unless you are with a group or with local guides. The land has beautiful landscapes, nature and even local diner.
