I think Bangalore is jampacked with people working in IT industry, fairly contains highly civilised people with common and civic sense. Due to the high number of people travelling in and out of Bangalore everyday, it's always safe to have a presence of mind around crowded areas especially public metros, buses and trains for pick pocketing/unauthorised videography by strangers. People are very kind otherwise, also recommend to learn a bit of Kannada(the local language), people are very kind and helpful when you try to speak in their language.
Posted: June 3, 2025Bangalore is not that unsafe, you can travel by metro which is very convenient and local buses are also safe as there are separate sections for ladies and gents. The city side is a bit risky if you are clubbing, make sure you have a guy with you because if you are drunk and alone, it’s not at all safe.

Bangalore is known for its weather, but it's safe. However, it depends on the area we choose to travel but as a woman, I choose when and how to travel. So it's suggested the same for everyone. It's safe :)
Posted: May 25, 2025I find Bangalore to be one of the safer cities in India for women. Areas like Indiranagar, Koramangala, and Whitefield feel quite comfortable to explore. I usually stick to trusted transport like the metro or app-based cabs, especially at night. While I always stay aware of my surroundings, I’ve had mostly positive experiences here. The city is diverse, open-minded, and has lots of women-friendly spaces.
Posted: May 24, 2025Bangalore as a whole is I'd say 60% safe. Incidents happen everyday. But things will be taken seriously if reported. Bangalore is a beautiful city and I would never leave this city no matter what. But I do think twice about the choices I make, the people I meet and the places I go to.
Posted: May 23, 2025Stay in public places , prefer to be with friends , Even if you are alone , stay in public places and if u feel unsafe just leave no risks . It's fine actually here not bad . There is a lot of traffic in mid night too
Posted: May 16, 2025Actually, India is not the safest space especially for girls. - Because of the culture it is not so common for a girl to wear a short dress (don’t open shoulders and knees) - Also, it has awful traffic and it is dangerous to cross the road sometimes so do it carefully - The food is spicy so take some pills with you if you don’t used to spicy food
