Uhmm bangalore overall feels safe as its truly the most western any Indian city has gotten, and I love it, the men here are mostly educated so they dont oggle you like you are a pot of honey which in other parts of India is pretty common.
Posted: June 21, 2025I hardly step out after dark, but India overall is not very safe for women. Men stare a lot and even if nothing happens you'll feel very uncomfortable. I've been touched inappropriately many times, stared at constantly. Stay alert and don't put yourself in risky situations. Use cab apps to book travel. Up untill dark public transportation is safe, after that be very cautious and try to stick to AC buses, metros, taxis to be more safe. Shout or make noise when you feel unsafe and draw attention to yourself.
Posted: June 17, 2025Bangalore is one of the safest city in India. I've never had any bad experience and I've rarely heard of someone having a bad experience. I would definitely recommend Bangalore for a female solo traveller in India (specially for a first trip to India).
Posted: June 9, 2025Bangalore is pretty safe compared to other metropolitan cities tbh. But if you are a women you need to be careful where you visit. There are places that are actually pretty safe for tourists like mg road Koramangala etc nightlife is pretty good tbh. But as a woman we need to be extra careful out here . Constant staring by strangers is bit of a problem. The police is good. But but avoid shady local places and for the love of God don't trust strangers that's it . One important point is if you're looking for public transport please use metro and that too ladies section which is the first 2 compartments of the metro train always . Don't travel in BMTC local buses especially at night please also trains 3ac 2ac is good avoid sleeper and general class please

I think Bangalore is jampacked with people working in IT industry, fairly contains highly civilised people with common and civic sense. Due to the high number of people travelling in and out of Bangalore everyday, it's always safe to have a presence of mind around crowded areas especially public metros, buses and trains for pick pocketing/unauthorised videography by strangers. People are very kind otherwise, also recommend to learn a bit of Kannada(the local language), people are very kind and helpful when you try to speak in their language.
Posted: June 3, 2025Bangalore is not that unsafe, you can travel by metro which is very convenient and local buses are also safe as there are separate sections for ladies and gents. The city side is a bit risky if you are clubbing, make sure you have a guy with you because if you are drunk and alone, it’s not at all safe.
Posted: June 2, 2025Actually, India is not the safest space especially for girls. - Because of the culture it is not so common for a girl to wear a short dress (don’t open shoulders and knees) - Also, it has awful traffic and it is dangerous to cross the road sometimes so do it carefully - The food is spicy so take some pills with you if you don’t used to spicy food
