Bangalore is safe but needs caution. I have personally travelled alone in cabs several times even very late at night with no issues, but we still do hear news about assault and rape. I would not suggest being alone after dark if the area is not known

Many parts of the city (central and east bangalore near offices and breweries) are very active beyond midnight too and generally safe to be out on your own. I wouldn’t however recommend walking by yourself (after say 11ish) Taking a cab alone late at night or driving on your own is totally fine. Would advise not travelling to the airport (which is in the ourskirts of the city) alone in a cab late night.
Posted: June 19, 2024Bangalore is a safe city, booming with IT infrastructure, often called the IT hub. Ut has welcomed people from all walks of life, from different states, and has enabled a vibrant culture. Safety here is fairly better than major metro cities in India.

It is relatively safe. Be alert and do not amek any rookie mistakes though. Locals are generally helpful. Take help of a woman if you're in a dangerous situation. Cops and government staff (bus drivers, conductors, etc) are generally gelpful too.
