Actually, India is not the safest space especially for girls. - Because of the culture it is not so common for a girl to wear a short dress (don’t open shoulders and knees) - Also, it has awful traffic and it is dangerous to cross the road sometimes so do it carefully - The food is spicy so take some pills with you if you don’t used to spicy food

I feel pretty safe here as a localite. No staring issues like other places, people usually just mind their business, I can go out alone without thinking too much about my safety. Although since people are moving here rapidly, from different parts of India, I’d be just cautious as I have seen some changes in the clubs.
Posted: December 26, 2025You can be drunk and roaming in the streets at 1 AM and the chances of you being accompanied by a dog are more than anything bad happening, just avoid pro-kannada auto people, you are good. Make sure to know a few basic phrases just in case.

I think Bangalore is one of the safest cities in India. There are only 2 cities which are safe enough for women, that's Bangalore and Mumbai. Here they treat women like a person, almost like an equal most of the time. They'll haggle the same, mostly look at you the same as they will behave with a man. I don't think you can wear whatever you want but people are pretty much into their own thing, no one stares so much if you dress provocatively. I feel the streets are safer than the pubs in these case, less number of creeps, more behaved cab drivers vs a Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida belt.
Posted: October 9, 2025It a bit conservative in terms of dressing, there are certain tourist friendly areas like HSR, Koramangala, Indiranagar, MG Road/Churchstreet which are very happening and dressing is not an issue but other places you do have to be mindful. Other than that it’s pretty safe - the city starts sleeping around 10-11pm. So until then you can travel unrestricted. After, you have to be careful. No violent crimes or anything though. No pickpocket, etc either. Just in terms of women safety.

Bangalore is a diverse, metropolitan city. I would say it’s fairly safe, particularly during the day. We have women-only compartments in the metro and women-only seats in public buses. During the night, there is vibrant pub culture but it’s better to stay vigilant, especially if you’re alone.

I’m Nikitha, a robotics engineer by profession and a travel freak by heart. When I’m not working on building intelligent machines or solving tech puzzles, I’m somewhere out in the world — walking unfamiliar streets, chasing sunsets, or laughing with strangers who become friends. 🧭💛 I’m respectful, clean, and flexible. I travel light (except for my ideas and snacks!) and love sharing Indian meals, robotics stories, or just deep, soulful chats under the stars. I’m also happy to help around your space — I love being useful! As a host Bangalore is my base, and I love welcoming good humans to it. If you enjoy chai, tech-talks, soulful music, and meaningful experiences — my door will be open for you!
