Pécs is a beautiful mediterranian vibe city, mostly not that exciting, but in the summer months it has a good vibe and the center is very walkable. Cute coffee shops are waiting to be explored and we have Mecsek where you can take forest tours.
Posted: December 19, 2024Budapest is generally very safe however there are disctricts to avoid. (Some parts of VIII and IX district) During the day these are also safe but in dark its not recommended to walk alone. There are lit of tourists esspecially in summer
Posted: December 17, 2024Pécs is a very calm and sage city to live in ! As a woman I always feel very comfortable and sage walking in the street , I've never experienced sexual harassment or anything bad here day or night, I always feel safe.
Posted: December 4, 2024Budapest is generally a safe city, especially for visitors. You only have to be concerned about petty crime like pickpocketing. Of course, don't flash money or jewellery, don't take drugs, get too drunk etc.
Posted: November 19, 2024Budapest is the safest city in Europe, you really dont have to worry about safety here. People are not talking to you, public transport is great and no crimes or weird people on the streets! Also no pickpockets!

Budapest is a safe city..Obviously as every big city it has areas that are less safe. Also quite many homeless ppl.Unfortunately in Budapest there are quite many scammers.Pay attention at prices in restaurant and Taxi drivers near center or railway stations.

Posted: November 3, 2024I feel quite safe in Budapest. Of course, there are some areas, where one should be careful, and avoid being there after the dark is fallen down. However, the center of the city is lively and if you are not alone, it is totally safe.

Budapest is surprisingly safe, there are people around at all times. Certain districts are safer than others, which is similar to how most cities are around the world. I’ve been out and about alone at 2-3 am many times and have only felt slightly uneasy. There are some weird, drunk people and homeless people that might do eccentric things, but they are harmless most of the time.
Posted: October 27, 2024There is two sides of Budapest. Buda is a pretty safe, because it has less habitants and more expensive apartments. But Pest, which is the other side of Budapest is more dangerous at nights and recommend to avoid at night if you are alone as a woman.

Budapest is not the usual tourist destination, but it should be. It is a beautiful city that is friendly to tourists and relatively easy to get around. Give yourself a few days to explore and fall in love with the food and the charms of this Eastern European Gem.
Posted: November 13, 2024I’ve been many times to Budapest, both solo and with others. Like most places in Hungary, I feel incredibly safe in their capital city. Transit is easy to navigate and inexpensive. Remember, Hungary does not use the euro. This can be good because typically things are cheap compared to other European countries but you do have to remember to exchange money.
