In the downtown there are pretty much drunked peaple mostly at night, but they mostly don’t do anything just shouting or things liked that. But anyway i really love Győr, because it’s not too big but there are a lot of programs even for free also. And the downtown is really pretty, it’s near to the river, so it’s nice.
Posted: August 5, 2024I'd say Győr is quite a safe place to visit. During the day i have no fear of walking in the city. There are stranger people near the train station, and sometimes in public transport, but I have no bad experience yet. People ask for money, but don't hurt you if you refuse to give. Not all bars are safe, you always have to keep your eyes on your drink, and never accept drinks from anyone.
Posted: June 7, 2024Gyor is a relatively safe city, especially during daytime and if you don’t really wander away from the city center. It is fairly okay during nighttime to, I had to go home after partying alone a few times, and it was okay. Though if you want to be extra safe I recommend not going out alone late, because somtimes there are a few drunks on the street. On the other hand they dont harm anyone usually, and also other people can be helpfull and kind.
