Halifax feels overall very safe, very nice people. But if you don’t have a car, you can see everything in a weekend. It’s a small city. Best if you can go travel around Nova Scotia. Also best to come here during summer.

I took a tall ship cruise around Halifax bay with my family, it was extremely enjoyable and I highly recommend it. Afterwards we went for a very nice meal at Baton rouge restaurant, a bit expensive but Canada is quite expensive.

The government has declared an epidemic of gender based violence. Crime is rising in this small city. Sexual harassment and assault is increasing as is a prevalent knife culture. Be very careful at night. I've been accosted, threatened, chased a d attacked numerous times by men in broad daylight over the last 5 years.

I like Halifax a lot! It’s been my 4th home for a year. Halifax is a pretty safe place, but you should omit some districts for sure! When I go somewhere when it’s dark, I usually with someone - this way I feel safe!
