Halifax feels overall very safe, very nice people. But if you don’t have a car, you can see everything in a weekend. It’s a small city. Best if you can go travel around Nova Scotia. Also best to come here during summer.

I took a tall ship cruise around Halifax bay with my family, it was extremely enjoyable and I highly recommend it. Afterwards we went for a very nice meal at Baton rouge restaurant, a bit expensive but Canada is quite expensive.

Definitely safe for solo women to explore and travel. Frequently explore the area solo. Very welcoming atmosphere. People are nice and always willing to help. Few areas to avoid but province as a whole is very safe
Posted: July 31, 2024Halifax is a safe city! As with any city, I wouldn’t walk around alone at night. The people are friendly and welcoming. I can’t speak on public transportation, but it is available across most of the city.

I work for an airline so obviously I love to travel but just learning how to venture out as a solo female traveler. I’m looking for tips and advice from other solo female travellers.
