For me, Ixelles feels very safe, especially the area near the Ixelles Cemetery. I have often come home late around midnight using public transport and have never had any problems. There’s also Flagey, where I personally wouldn’t be out late because there are often drunk people or people who frequently ask you for money.
Posted: August 10, 2025Brussel is overall a very safe city, of course some places are less safe than other but that’s the same in every city I personally had never had something stolen in the transport or in the city even in the most touristic places Of course pay attention but most important of all : enjoy Brussels

It’s hard to tell because every place has some dangerous places but when we stayed at the hostel in the centre I felt really safe getting back from the concert with my bestie and it is beautiful at night 🥰

In general, in my experience, Antwerp is a pretty safe place when it comes to violence. In case of being a woman, you can expect the usual average catcall and in clubs the harassment is average. So it’s not extremely dangerous here, but also not a 100% safe. Feel free to ask me other questions in chat! Xx
Posted: August 5, 2025Waterloo is very safe. The cliche is that Waterloo is a city of old, rich people. It's kinda true but there are young people as well obviously! The crimes are rare and if there is one it's either a settling score or it could be a robbery in a store. Sometimes houses are robbed but if you are careful and close the door behind you everything should go smoothly!

I recommend going on walks around the river and there are plenty museums. Its best of you drive as I remember my air bnb was a bit far from the train station and there were no buses, so i had to walk like 30-40 minutes. Its really pretty in winter too

In my opinion Belgium was really pleasant. We were there with my best friend for three days and for the Pitbull concert 🥰 we felt very safe at night though you must be always careful. I have to say though that Brussels is overrated, it felt very cramped if that makes sense, even local stores like Lidl felt very cramped and small. Antwerp was much better, it was really pretty and the architecture was better and it was wider and more comfortable. Overall I think it was a fun journey but I wouldn’t come back
