Experiences from Mexico
I've been to Mexico several times, mostly solo, and it's a dream. I've stayed mainly on the Yucatan and Riviera Maya and felt perfectly safe. There is so much culture, art, and experiences (Aztec ruins, zip lining, all the cenotes, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, beautiful old towns with fantastic churches, festivals, beaches...etc) so I will never get bored. And the food. It's also relatively cheap.
I spent three weeks driving around Mexico and it was amazing, I felt safe at all times and we visited some really remote areas. I found the people to be lovely and the most helpful I’ve found of all the places I’ve traveled to. I flew to Cancun then drove to Tulum, Bacalar, Palenque, Villerhermosa, Mexico City, Ciudad del Carmen, Merida, and back to Cancun.
A folclore all way around. Mexico is full of culture and tradition. A must on you pocket list. So many things to see and live over there. People are really kind and will always give you a hand and a smile whenever you need. And food OMG I think is the best in the world, we are not in only tacos!!! Please get close and dive in in the traditional cusine.

Mexico City is amazing. If you like City activities such as visit museums, know culture, delicious foods, dance, this city is for you! Mexican people are kind and easygoing. you can go anywhere in metro.
I did Mexico solo for 6 weeks and loved it. I was working remotely so I stayed in 3 places. Tulum, Mexico City, and Puerto Vallarta. I felt very safe in all 3 pleases. If I could go back and do it again I would have definitely added Oaxaca & Puerto Escondido.
I lived in Mexico for 6 months last year. An amazing experience. I did all the Yucatan, Oaxaca, and Mexico City. I met such amazing people. A great country with big up and down. I was alone and I was learning Spanish over there.
I travelled around Yucatan solo twice and enjoyed every day. For transportation between cities I used busses, within Tulum I took taxis several times and felt safe. My tip: If someone asks: where is your husband/ friend etc. - don't tell that you stay alone.
I was in Yucatan and Roo for 2 weeks solo and took ado buses everywhere - was super easy and comfy and safe. I went to Mérida, Valladolid, Chichen itza, Izamal, Bacalar, tulum, Cancún, rio lagartos/pink lakes, ek balam, and a bunch of cenotes
