We stayed at Hotel Casa Calli, extremely friendly personnel, and great accomodation in general. A bit difficult to reach by car in the first place but they have their own parkingplace down the street.

Recommendations:

El Rey, a place in the city center has great food! They have a large menu with many different types of authentic Mexican food.
