Florence

Florence is a stunningly beautiful city in Italy, renowned for its art, architecture, and culture. It is home to some of the world's most iconic landmarks, such as the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio, and the Uffizi Gallery. The city is also known for its delicious cuisine, with a variety of restaurants and cafes offering traditional Tuscan dishes. Florence is a great destination for travelers looking to explore the Renaissance period, as well as those looking for a romantic getaway.

When you are in Florence, if you want a beautiful view of the city without the crowds, go to Forte di Belvedere. We did that instead of Piazzale Michelangelo. I think it was around 3 Euros per person, but totally worth it, especially when we looked over and saw the huge crowd at the Piazzale!
Food: Ristorante La Spada (traditional Firenze dining) Move On (v cool cocktail bar) Da Nicola Pesce&Carne - such a gorgeous little restaurant not too expensive. Amazing staff! Things to do: Boboli Gardens, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, all the museums! Everything is Firenze is incredible! Grab a bottle of wine and watch the sunset from the ‘Piazzale Michelangelo’ - but it is a walk so be prepared. Get there early for a good spot!
Florence is overrated to me. I liked the sightseeing and touristy stuff, but after two days it was enough for me. I didn't like the narrow streets. The people were nice but some parts of the city were dirty.
