About me

Hi, I’m Angélique from Karlsruhe, Germany. 😊 I’m a funeral director, a job that might sound unusual, but one that I truly love. I’m an open-minded, warm and straightforward person with a good sense of humor. I love sports and being active, traveling, discovering new places, good food, spontaneous little adventures – and especially the sea. Unfortunately, Karlsruhe is pretty far from the ocean, so I guess I just have to travel. 😄🌊 I’d also really love to discover more of Northern Europe. Sweden, Finland and Denmark are high on my list, and I thought Travel Ladies might be a great way to start exploring them. And then… let’s see where the journey takes me. ✈️ I live with my 18-year-old son and our dog Lucky, who is very much part of the family. 🐾 I’d love to connect with women from different countries, travel together, visit each other or simply share some good moments along the way. If I’m hosting, I can currently offer a couch in my bedroom for one female traveler. It’s a shared space rather than a private room, and of course I’ll always be upfront about that. 😊

About me

I am an international student in Marburg,Germany. When I have time, I like to explore new sights, usually on weekends because weekdays I'm at Uni and then in library busy studying. I'm an ambivert so I tend to be really chatty at the right time with right companions. I like reading Sci-fi novels. My hobbies are drawing, claying, puzzling and most of the time reading. I love to take a stroll in new cities and lost myself occasionally. I am a curious person who has a big appetite about almost everything in our world. Like to meet new people and learn their perspective about different things.

About me

Hey, I'm Anna 🏳️‍🌈, 27 years old. During the last years travelling and exploring this planet became my passion. Along my journeys I received an incredible amount of kindness from strangers all around the world and I wanna give the same kindness and hospitality back to like-minded people who happen to stumble into this small town. I am excited to meet y'all. Important: I don't live directly in Stuttgart. I live in the district of Reutlingen (45 minutes by train from Stuttgart, 35 minutes by car). The little town is called "Dettingen an der Erms" and it's located at the bottom of the mountain range "Schwäbische Alb". If you're wondering what there is to do in or close to my town, here are some recommendations: • the town next to mine called "Bad Urach", which is only a 5-minute distance from my place has the "Bad Urach waterfall" which is definitely worth a visit when you're in this area. It's a 30-45 minute walk along the waterfall to it's beginning. Been there several times and will definitely go there again. • from my window you have an incredible view on the "Schwäbische Alb", which is the most famous mountain range in this state. It's just a short drive up there and it offers a lot of activities. If you're up for a hike there are plenty to do there. In winter you can go skiing, snowboarding or sledging. Similar to rodeling there is a bobsleigh track that is only usable in the summer months. The "Schwäbische Alb" also comes with various cave systems that you can explore on your own or guided, such as "Nebelhöhle" or "Bärenhöhle". The latter also displays a real skeleton of a bear, that used to live in this area. Besides that the area also offers a climbing garden in the woods, a variety of lakes you can swim in during summer (and also during other seasons if you dare) • for people interested in archaeology there is a quarry ~30 minutes from my place. Where you can bring your own tools or rent theirs and look for fossils and knock them out of the stone • there is a local swimming pool in a 3 minutes walk distance from my place, and several lakes in a 30 minutes radius to enjoy during hot summer days & nights. • in winter you can enjoy the local Christmas markets in almost every town/city. You can choose to go to the bigger one in the bigger cities surrounding Dettingen Like Reutlingen, Tübingen or a bit further Stuttgart or enjoy the smaller ones • in autumn, usually in September/October you can experience the "Weindorf" (wine village) in Reutlingen, Stuttgart, Tübingen • twice a year you can visit the Frühlingsfest or Oktoberfest in Stuttgart Dettingen is a small town, so if you want to experience something, you actually have to leave it. Bigger cities in the are are: - Reutlingen (15 minutes drive by car) - Tübingen (20-25 minutes drive) - Stuttgart - state capital (35 minutes drive) The quickest way to get around is by car. There is a lot of public transportation tho. At nighttime it can become difficult to reach rural areas by bus or train since those areas often don't offer public transportation at night. Dettingen is one of them. But during the day you can use the bus or even the train (train station is in a 6 minutes walking distance from my place) If you want to travel further from here the Austrian🇦🇹, Liechtenstein 🇭🇹 & Swiss 🇨🇭 border are 2 hours away from my place (by car), as well as the closest French 🇨🇵 city worth seeing called "Strasbourg". If you're just looking for a place to stay and want to do activities by yourself, I am more than willing to give you your space. But if you want to do activities together I am up for that too, although I am not always available due to my full time job. Cooking together and experiencing each other's cultures that way is something I am always up to (beware: I am a bad cook) , as well as watching movies, playing (board) games or going out for food, coffee, clubbing, adventures. I am up to almost everything, but nothing is a must and it totally depends on what you want and looking for on your trip. See you 🖤
