Safety:Very safe

Hawaii is generally a safe destination for solo female travelers. The locals are typically welcoming and friendly towards visitors. Honolulu, in particular, is known for its good safety record. However, as in any travel situation, it's important to remain vigilant especially when exploring more isolated areas or when out at night. To ensure your safety, always use common sense precautions like sharing your itinerary with someone, not displaying large amounts of cash, and researching areas before visiting.

Transport:Easy

Hawaii's infrastructure is well developed, especially on the main islands. Public transportation, such as buses, taxis, bicycling, and walking, is feasible in urban areas like Honolulu, but less so in more rural areas. Renting a car is an affordable and flexible option to explore the islands at your own pace. Overall, navigating the state is not overly difficult, but some planning is required if venturing outside major cities.

Things to do:Fascinating

Hawaii offers a diverse range of activities that cater to all kinds of travelers. It's a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with its stunning hiking trails, magnificent volcanoes, array of water activities like snorkeling, surfing and diving. History buffs will appreciate the rich cultural heritage on offer, including Iolani Palace, the only royal palace on US soil. Oahu's North Shore is famous for its world-class surfing, while the Na Pali Coast on Kauai is an unmatched sight. Foodies will enjoy a variety of food; from local dishes like poke and loco moco, to upscale dining options. In the evening, a traditional Luau with Hawaiian music and hula dancing can be enjoyed.

Food:Excellent

The food in Hawaii presents a stunning blend of diverse cultures which includes native Hawaiian, American, Asian and European cuisines. You'll find incredibly fresh fish and seafood. Hawaiian food often incorporates fresh, local ingredients such as pineapple and pork into their dishes. From upscale dining to food trucks, the flavors are simply mind-blowing. It's also a paradise for sweets lovers - don't miss out on trying some shave ice, malasadas and delicious varieties of poke. The food is a reflection of Hawaii's vibrant melting pot of cultures an unforgettable element of the islands' allure.

Budget:Moderate

Hawaii, while beautiful and worth a visit, can be quite pricey. Costs such as food, accommodation, and activities can add up. However, there are ways to keep expenses down such as staying in hostels or budget hotels, eating at local markets, and opting for free activities like hiking and beach visits instead of pricey tours.
