Is Nottingham worth visiting?

Solo travel

Currently in Nottingham for the weekend. It's a nice city. A lot of different places to go eat! Went for some painting in Pixie studio which was really fun - it's a tattoo place that does painting once in a while. Really cute vibe and really lovely ladies!

Generally, during the day, Nottingham is a pretty safe city even for solo female travellers. It's important to stay within the more popular areas of the city centre and not to venture alone, especially at night to some of the rougher neighbourhoods. The public transport system is excellent, very regular and easy to navigate and I generally feel safe using it. There are lots of green spaces and again, feel very safe during the day with other people around. I would not walk around on my own at night (after 11pm) although I would get the tram home at that time.

I would say it is pretty safe, same as any place there is always the chance of something dodgy happening, but I'd probably say this is only really at night when everyone has had a drink and people can get rowdy

Stay with locals in Nottingham

Stay with local women in Nottingham who offer free accommodation as part of cultural exchange. Hospitality exchange is a great way to meet new people, learn more about new cultures and experience destinations like a local.
