A good city for tourism, but living here is a bit difficult. There are both good and bad neighborhoods. We treat guests with respect and are always ready to help.

Russia in general it’s a very safe country to visit or to life. I can confirm that I can travel alone, or with friends peacefully everywhere and at anytime, and I’m sure everything’s going to be fine. I’ve been living here for 4 years, and haven’t experience something scary like most of other countries, or like in my home country (Latin America). That’s one of the main reasons I like to life here, I feel very safe
Posted: June 12, 2025Samara is basically an unremarkable city in Russia, it's not particularly interesting to walk here, only if you walk around the old town, and then look at the embankment and the Volga River. The people here are different, they can be responsive and they can also be rude. in general, in order to travel and stay here for 1 day to explore the area in a calm environment, it is a good option, but it is fashionable to live here only if you prefer a quiet life, because in general there is not much crime here, there is almost no garbage on the main streets, but the roads leave much to be desired

Samara is perfectly safe, there are not many crimes occurring. Usually you can go out on late hours, bur of course there are some days (some celebration days) when you should be more cautious than the other days. You will have to try hard to find a homeless person in Samara, and the number of homeless dogs had recently decreased to minimum. You can definitely meet some drunk people on the streets at nights, but it's not dangerous if you stay away from them. The city is well illuminated. During day time you have nothing to worry about at all. Of course, you shouldn't forget about primary safety rules like keeping your bag closed etc., because unpleasant man could be met anywhere.
