Samara is safe. I can go out at any hour all alone. Although, there are recent incidents that might be something to look upon. Men approach you more freely if you don’t have a male company with you. Most of them are respectful but there are creeps too. People also sometimes turn their heads if you are feeling unsafe or somebody is harassing you. Which is sad. Overall safety rating is 8.5/10

Russia in general it’s a very safe country to visit or to life. I can confirm that I can travel alone, or with friends peacefully everywhere and at anytime, and I’m sure everything’s going to be fine. I’ve been living here for 4 years, and haven’t experience something scary like most of other countries, or like in my home country (Latin America). That’s one of the main reasons I like to life here, I feel very safe

Samara is perfectly safe, there are not many crimes occurring. Usually you can go out on late hours, bur of course there are some days (some celebration days) when you should be more cautious than the other days. You will have to try hard to find a homeless person in Samara, and the number of homeless dogs had recently decreased to minimum. Hey, I'm Lesya! I'm 25 and from Samara. A bit about my life: I'm married and we have a cat. The thing is, I've caught the travel bug – I've already visited two countries, but to be honest, I was a typical tourist, mostly just staying in a hotel. Now I want the real deal: to really connect with the culture, the food, the people, the nature, and the art of the places I visit. But my husband isn't really into traveling. So I'm thinking of just taking matters into my own hands and going on some trips by myself. I mean, life's too short for boring hotel vacations and waiting around, you know? What I do: By education, I'm a master artist, and I actually work as a tattoo artist. I also have a job at a warehouse. What I love: I'm a total foodie, I love going for walks and taking photos, and I'm always trying to learn new things and improve myself.
