I felt really safe in this city. It is also more of a small city with not too many tourists. There are not too many activities to do, but the shopping malls and prices are really good. I enjoyed this trip a lot.

I often go running after dark in city centre. Never had a dangerous situation. Same about walking around during the day. People are minding there own business and can be very helpfull. Its also very clean city.
Posted: August 17, 2025I feel in Poland as safe as in any other western european country, if not safer. There have been problems with the treatment of visibly queer people in Poland, but Szczecin is in the westernmost part of the country, which is very progressive. Crime rates, like in the rest of Poland, are low.

Szczecin is a really safe city. Some say that it’s because there is not much going on but I disagree. It’s a beautiful city to visit with an interesting history and a lot of local places to see. However it is true, the best way to explore the city is with locals. If you’re planning the trip on your own, you will probably miss a lot. Feel free to contact. If I won’t be in Szczecin, I can send you good locations
Posted: August 13, 2025It is a safe city, casual, friendly. Sometimes you can meet unfriendly people but you can meet them everywhere so it is not that deep. In Szczecin you can find homeless people on the streat but they aren't agressive at all. They don't talk to you so just ignore them.
Posted: August 1, 2025Szczecin is a safe city, the homeless people or the ones that like to drink at night in the city center have boundaries and I hadn’t had any problems. As a young woman i lived there my whole life and thankfully I never experienced any unpleasant interactions. Overall i would say that Szczecin is a safe city
