Poznan is a very small, yet very peaceful and beautiful city to visit, if you visit Poland. It is not so touristy, however packed with many amazing things to see. I visited this town with my two friends (both woman) and we felt safer than anywhere else even in the middle of the night. The people are very friendly here, and the prices are low.

Solo travel

Poznań is wonderful. I was there for 3 nights and I had a fantastic time. It was not at all a tourist-oriented place, their food is really good and I felt very safe there. Additionally, their colorful buildings and market were really beautiful.

of course, unfortunately, there are crimes or harassment here, as in most European cities, but in general you feel safe. but I do not advise walking alone at night anyway. sometimes people who like to drink a lot can harass Ukrainians here both during the day and at night. so in Poznan you should be careful and have pepper spray with you just in case. it is better to avoid the Wilda area and the train station at night
