I've been in Łódź during the day and I've felt pretty safe. I really recommend visiting the Museum of the City of Łódź, it's one of the best museums I've seen in Poland. I'm definietly thinking about coming back again to see some more cultural and historical landscapes.
Posted: January 30, 2025Experienced: May, 2024I felt quite safe during my visit to Łódź. The city is vibrant and has a lot to offer. A must-visit is Piotrkowska Street, one of the longest commercial streets in Europe, filled with shops, cafes, and street art. The Manufaktura complex is also impressive, with its mix of history, shopping, and dining. For food, I recommend trying traditional Polish dishes at Anatewka or enjoying a modern twist at Gastromachina. If you’re a coffee lover, stop by Kawiarnia Kawa na Ławę. I stayed at a centrally located hotel which was comfortable and provided easy access to main attractions. Public transport in Łódź is well-connected and affordable, with trams and buses running frequently. My budget was moderate—I spent around 150 PLN per day on meals and transport. If you’re planning a visit, set aside time to explore the OFF Piotrkowska area for its unique atmosphere and local shops. Would definitely return!

I like lodz, is not an expensive city, good weather, nice people and very clean! 2 full days are enough to visit lodz. I thank GOD who sent me a good girl from another group to host me for free. Enjoy Lodz
Posted: August 16, 2024Experienced: July, 2024Lodz is the small city in Poland. I live in there for 1 months. I’m a erasmus student and Lodz is not available for student. There is no hang area in there. There is a long street and this street sometimes isn’t active.

I came here as an Erasmus student and I live in Lodz. In these six months, I want to travel as much as I can. From my experiences, Piotrkowska is a street you should definitely explore. It is the longest street in Lodz and Manufaktura has a unique vibe. As a Turkish person, I didn't enjoy the food that extensively, but I believe I haven't tried enough.

In my opinion Lodz is basically a very safe city, especially during the day. There are places, for example, the district called Old Baluty that people consider more dangerous during the night, but I've never experienced any type of violence while living in Lodz for more than 20 years. But be careful with pickpocketing
Posted: April 17, 2025Łódź is a great place to visit - as every city we do have a bit more "shady" areas but tourists barely get there anyway. All places that matter are safe and full of nice people, there should be no problem in finding someone speaking English as well :)

Hello! My name is Zeynep, and I am from Turkey. I am a 2nd year Business Administration student at Ankara University, which is located in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. And right now, I am in Poland as part of the Erasmus program. I will be staying in Poland for five months, and during this time, I want to explore different countries in Europe. At the moment, my travel route is leading me to Italy, and I would love to experience the country from a local perspective. I enjoy meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing stories. If you are open to hosting me, I would be truly grateful! Looking forward to connecting with amazing people during my travels.
