I've been in Łódź during the day and I've felt pretty safe. I really recommend visiting the Museum of the City of Łódź, it's one of the best museums I've seen in Poland. I'm definietly thinking about coming back again to see some more cultural and historical landscapes.

I felt quite safe during my visit to Łódź. The city is vibrant and has a lot to offer. A must-visit is Piotrkowska Street, one of the longest commercial streets in Europe, filled with shops, cafes, and street art. The Manufaktura complex is also impressive, with its mix of history, shopping, and dining. For food, I recommend trying traditional Polish dishes at Anatewka or enjoying a modern twist at Gastromachina. If you’re a coffee lover, stop by Kawiarnia Kawa na Ławę. I stayed at a centrally located hotel which was comfortable and provided easy access to main attractions. Public transport in Łódź is well-connected and affordable, with trams and buses running frequently. My budget was moderate—I spent around 150 PLN per day on meals and transport. If you’re planning a visit, set aside time to explore the OFF Piotrkowska area for its unique atmosphere and local shops. Would definitely return!

I came here as an Erasmus student and I live in Lodz. In these six months, I want to travel as much as I can. From my experiences, Piotrkowska is a street you should definitely explore. It is the longest street in Lodz and Manufaktura has a unique vibe. As a Turkish person, I didn't enjoy the food that extensively, but I believe I haven't tried enough.

In my opinion Lodz is basically a very safe city, especially during the day. There are places, for example, the district called Old Baluty that people consider more dangerous during the night, but I've never experienced any type of violence while living in Lodz for more than 20 years. But be careful with pickpocketing

Łódź is a great place to visit - as every city we do have a bit more "shady" areas but tourists barely get there anyway. All places that matter are safe and full of nice people, there should be no problem in finding someone speaking English as well :)
