I did an 8-day trip to Belgium, stayed 4 nights in Bruges (St Christopher's Inn), and 4 nights in Brussels (Latroupe Grand Place). Made a day trip to Ghent (from Bruges) and a day trip to Antwerp (from Brussels) and I did walking tours in both Ghent and Antwerp. Bruges is definitely the highlight of my trip, would 100% recommend visiting there. Brussels was just another city, with plenty of museums and great nightlife though.
Posted: May 22, 2023I had an amazing time in Brussels and did not encounter any safety issues, despite reading some negative experiences from others. I even wandered around at night taking photos. Gent is absolutely stunning and it captured a special place in my heart. As for Bruges, it is undeniably beautiful, although it can be quite touristy which is not usually my preference, but still worth a visit.
Posted: April 30, 2023I did my first-ever solo trip to Belgium in October and loved it. I started in Antwerp then went to Bruges which was gorgeous. I did a hot air balloon ride over the place. Then went to Brussels and did a day trip to Ghent from there. Everywhere was very easy to navigate via tram/train/bus. The language wasn't an issue as the majority of places had good English.
Posted: April 23, 2023The first time i decide to go on a long solo trip and booked myself a ticket to Belgium through a travel agency. Reason i chose them was the traveling cost and the time. It was only a one day trip but i was a bit nervous and excited to travel with strangers. Yet i was excited to get to know new people and get along with them and take a tour around the place. It was a night journey, managed to know 3-4 ppl after reaching the destination and wandered around the places , took pictures and laughed alot like we knew each other for a long time. Half way I met another Person wandering alone from my country, we spoke the same language, got along really well, and spent the entire day together comfortably exploring the places. Although I started alone, there wasn't a single moment I felt alone throughout the trip and I'm glad I'm still in touch with the People and have been good friends for an year now. There were alot of things to take back from that trip which made me take few more solo trips, meet more people.
Posted: April 17, 2023Experienced: March, 2022I traveled in November last year and I absolutely loved Belgium. I went to Brussels and Bruges and they were so beautiful. And the food was amazing. Waffles and chocolates and fries. I also did my favorite free walking tours there. I did a night one in Bruges on local legends and ghost stories and it was so interesting.

Posted: March 8, 2023I was in Belgium at the end of August. I stayed in Brussels. It was great. I highly recommend the Sanderman’s walking tour. They take you everywhere and you get to learn a lot about the place you’re visiting. The Grand Square is beautiful. I also did a day trip to Bruges. If you are a foodie try Belgium waffles and frites (French fries) with mayo.
Posted: February 18, 2023I did a weekend in Brussels/Bruges. I think that was enough for both. Personally, I liked Bruges so much compared to Brussels, it was charming and I ended up buying lots of chocolate. I stayed in a hostel in Brussels and did a day trip from Brussels to Bruges with half price ticket as they have a weekend discounted ticket.
