I did feel safe in Stockholm, I think it's a beautiful city. I stayed in a hotel near the main station, so I was travelling around with metro, by feet, or with the e-scooter. Stockholm has many delicious restaurants. You have to try the meatballs with mashed potatoes! You should visit the Gamla Stan, Södermalm and Solna (:

I felt safe in Stockholm, my hostel in gamla Stan was very affordable and I met some really lovely people. I feel like there could be some more affordable things to do but if you like walking around mew cities you'll find lots to do anyway
Posted: April 20, 2025Experienced: October, 2024Stroll around gamla Stan, better during the working hours as it gets quite busy Vasa museum is really interesting - a recovered shipwreck that was sunken for 333 years Skinnarviksberget and Katarina Elevator for the city views! Highly recommend the metro tour, especially stops Tekniska Högskolan Solna Centrum Radhuset Kungsträdgården Feel free to dm me for amazing food recommendations! Hot take, skip the meatballs - overrated. There is much more amazing food the city can offer. If meatballs are on your experience list, “meatballs for the people” were the best I’ve tried.

I was shocked that stockholm was actually quite cheap. Only museums and public transport were very expensive. But loved the subway stations, loved the kardemumma buns, a little strange to walk everywhere on red light 😂 Overall fun to see, but a bit boring to come back for me

Stockholm is full of nature. If you have a tent with you, I definitely recommend staying in a nature reserve. There are many places with beautiful sunsets. You should definitely get "Too Good To Go". You can get a lot of food there for a reasonable price. The best surprise bags are available at the espresso house and Lindquist's Pastry in Stockholm.

I recently visited Stockholm and had an amazing time! Here are some highlights from my trip: **Safety:** I felt very safe throughout my stay in Stockholm. The city is well-maintained, and the people are friendly and helpful. **Things to Do:** I highly recommend exploring the various museums and historical sites. The Vasa Museum is a must-see, showcasing a preserved 17th-century ship. Also, take a stroll through Gamla Stan, the old town, which is full of charming streets and shops. If you have time, visit Djurgården for beautiful parks and attractions. **Food and Restaurants:** The food in Stockholm is delicious! I enjoyed visiting an Asian food cafe in a shopping mall, which offered a variety of tasty dishes. I also had a delightful experience at a local cafe, enjoying coffee and a traditional Swedish bun. The food scene here is diverse and caters to all tastes. **Budget:** I spent around 300 EUR for my 5-day trip, which was quite reasonable. This included food, transport, and some shopping. **Accommodation:** I stayed at a friend's place, which made my trip more economical. However, there are plenty of hotels and hostels available to suit all budgets. **Transport:** Getting around Stockholm is very convenient. The public transport system is efficient, clean, and easy to navigate. I mainly used buses and the metro, which were both reliable and timely. **People:** The locals are very kind and helpful. I always felt welcome and had no trouble asking for directions or recommendations. **Itinerary:** I spent my days exploring the city, visiting museums, and enjoying local cafes and restaurants. I also made time for some shopping and leisurely walks in the parks. Overall, Stockholm is a beautiful city with a rich cultural heritage and a welcoming atmosphere. I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable travel experience.

Sea, lake, river, ocean and forests give me peace. Stockholm has a very beautiful sea and I liked it very much. Even though the weather was not very hot when I went, I had a wonderful time. I met a Mexican photographer. Thanks to him, I shot with a professional camera and we chatted. I liked it very much and I want to go again. Because there are still so many things, museums and events I want to do, experience and see. it is a wonderful city.

I loved my experience in Stockholm. People were very kind and helpful. We explored the city and got to see how locals live. We visited a lot of museums, such as Nordic - it was a great experience. We went to the library and explored Vasa got us really excited! Overall recommend

I went in Stockholm with a group of friends and overall it was a good experience because of the company but the city itself wasn’t very impressive. We went to the Ice bar which was interesting experience and also the Abba museum was really nice and entertaining. Eat at Ikea if you want to save money because restaurants in Stockholm are crazy expensive and the portions are small ( we went to 1 restaurant but that was enough hahah). Vasamuseet wasn’t worth the money in my opinion but it might be because I don’t really like museums but basically the huge ship is in the middle of the museum and that’s impressive but not really worth 20€.

Pretty much perfect for solo travelers if you're visiting classic touristic spaces. There are always signs of burglary so keep in mind that, especially at Gamla Stan but there's a HUGE difference here compared to other cities in Europe. It's super chill.

Pretty safe. As safe as Singapore. Although has some weird looks but no harassment so far. Although some people here can be standoffish! Stockholm is surprisingly very safe. Like Singapore. Have met decent people here.

Hi! My name is Ines and I live in Stockholm, Sweden. I’m described by many as being warm and energetic but can be shy around new people, either way I’m always kind to those I meet. I love cats, reading, dancing, crafts and are excited to explore the world through this app.

I’m a 38 year old from Sweden, born and raised on the west coast (so not from Sthlm) and lived up north for the last 10 years (in Åre) but moved in recent years, first to Barcelona, Spain, for work, then to Stockholm. I like to travel and I have lived, worked and visited multiple places around the world and on most continents 🗺️ I’m somewhat of a diverse person with many interests, that likes to stay active and do most sports and I have played multiple instruments. I love everything from a beach day to a hike, to dancing salsa, tasting new food, to drinks and concerts, to an opera or ballet, diving, driving cars, playing tennis, volleyball or or ice skating etc. 🪇💃🦋🎷🎶🪩🩰 At the moment I’m planning my next trip to first Puerto Rico and then Guatemala (for amongst other things, my Guatemalan friends wedding) but also for all there is to see and do (and to continue practicing my Spanish even more) 🌺🌴🛕
