Is Oregon safe for solo female travelers?

Oregon, overall, is a safe state for solo female travelers. Major cities like Portland, Eugene, and Salem have well-lit and well-populated areas that are safe, and the locals are generally friendly and willing to lend a hand if needed. However, like any place, it's also important to exercise basic precautions. Some neighborhoods and areas can be unsafe at night or when less populated. Public transportation is usually safe but can occasionally be a hotspot for petty crime. Natural areas are quite safe during the day, but do note the addressed risks by wildlife and natural elements when hiking or exploring alone.

About me

I’m Sarah, a 26yo mama of 2 incredible kids that I world-school and bring along on most of my solo travel adventures. Bottom line, I am a free spirit just figuring out how to make life feel as free as possible for myself and my little fam. I am fairly new into the world of digital entrepreneurship. Obsessed with adventure, eco-tourism, and cultivating community wherever we are 🌎✨ when I’m not traveling, I’m enjoying the abundance of nature in my beautiful home state of Oregon in the U.S. I am always down to chat about travel, alternative living, spirituality, hiking, foraging, pretty much allll the things. I have many interests 😋
