I have been to Colorado twice now with my family. The first time we drove there from NC (3 days to get there on car). We explored Colorado Springs and the hikes around the area like Garden of the Gods. The next time we went we took a plane and explored more of Denver, hiking the Rocky Mountains National Park. I felt incredibly safe as there were so many other travelers with us when we went out exploring. We had our own car (and rented a car for the 2nd trip) to get around which made everything much easier and saved time. We stayed in Loveland on our second trip at a little house and saved...

Our recent experience in Colorado was truly incredible. I embarked on a memorable adventure with my 11-month-old daughter, starting by renting a jeep from Denver Airport to drive to Vail, Colorado. As we arrived in Vail, it felt like stepping into a mini Swiss village, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. From there, our journey took us to Glenwood Springs, where we indulged in the soothing hot springs. Generally the people here are very friendly, obviously you should still remain vigilant in secluded areas at night and bad areas of town. The people I’ve seen on hiking trails seem very friendly and open to talk.
Posted: July 3, 2024Military, retirement community. Diversity is minimum. Crime is more downtown and southeast side. Women can walk downtown fairly safely and easily. Cos downtown is small for the 2nd largest city in the State. Public transportation is very minimal in colorado springs.
