Is Ripon safe for solo female travelers?
Ripon is largely considered a very safe travel destination, even for solo female travelers. Crime rate is relatively low, and the locals are often noted to be friendly and helpful to tourists. Ripon is, in comparison to other UK cities, extremely safe. We have chavs just like any other place in UK, however it’s safe enough to walk alone or with another girly at night (I used to go out with my friend all the time, although just for your own safety, I wouldn’t recommend doing it anywhere). Ripon is a small town and for locals, there isn’t as much to do, however we have plenty of tourist attractions, cathedral and a nice town center :)))
