Lately there's been a lot of phone snatching on bikes, so keep your phone to your chest or on a strap. There's some knife crime but mostly gang related. I have never seen anything myself. I marked Hackney Marshes as unsafe at night because the area is not populated and not well-lit so there are sometimes some unsavoury characters gathering there.
