Is Isle of Wight safe for women?

The Isle of Wight is generally a safe place to be - especially during the day in the main towns and villages. There isn’t a lot of crime - especially towards tourists - although as with everywhere in the world it’s best to be aware of your surroundings and sensible with your belongings and personal safety. There isn’t a great taxi service or bus service late at night: uber etc doesn’t exist here. Daytime, lots of buses!
