Is Hastings safe for solo female travelers?

I recommend old town for nights out compared to town, as the crowd is calmer. There’s a lot that goes on and I’d avoid walking through town centre in the dark. As a woman with a nut allergy I recommend flames grill, mwah dim sum, dominos and papa johns for food.

Hastings safety is generally not the best. Crime rate is high and the police are not very good. I’d recommend going to old town as it is slightly safer compared to town centre at night. Black box is in my opinion the safest night club.
