To be honest, I always feel unsafe when going out at night time in Coventry. Most of my friends highly advise me that after 8PM, I shouldn’t go out alone. I did experience racist one time on my way to the restaurant by a teenager

Although Coventry's crime rate is generally high compared to the other cities in the UK, if you avoid the dangerous locations, then you will be fine. The people are friendly, the city centre is quite crowded during the weekends, there are good places to visit. It's a nice place :)
