There are frequent crimes happening. Safety measures are advised. Staying vigilant during the night is the best idea. A student city full of vibrant young crowds, often you can get the help when needed

If you stick to the city centre, you’ll be pretty safe. But I’d still recommend against going out in the dark, as there are drunk people or people on drugs on the roads :( It’s fairly ok during the day but be sure your belongings are safe

To be honest, I always feel unsafe when going out at night time in Coventry. Most of my friends highly advise me that after 8PM, I shouldn’t go out alone. I did experience racist one time on my way to the restaurant by a teenager
