Is Bradford safe for solo female travelers?

Ive lived here for a few years, I'd say its a safe area depending where you're going. But making friends here is hard as i find people are not as friendly. I hope you can find friends here if thats what you're looking for, well im certainly looking to make friends but for some reason its not happening here in Bradford

Through the day I would say Bradford is a moderately safe place to visit with lots of interesting architecture that is currently changing. However, my friends and I have all noticed a decline in police presence on an evening in the town and we now choose not to venture in the centre unless we are in a group. I personally have been whistled at/shouted at by strangers (last time alone in 2019 - haven’t been since). I haven’t tried since then but I don’t know if the police presence has improved.

I have lived here for many years and personally don’t think it’s that safe of a city, especially if you’re solo female traveller. It’s not so bad in the day time if you’re shopping or finding places to eat but a little different at night. Plenty of crime in this city!
